Embassy and AIPA Ireland Officials

Wednesday, 22nd June 2016, the Embassy of Nigeria, Dublin, opened its doors to the visiting officials of the Anambra Irish Professionals Association (AIPA) Ireland, who were on a courtesy call to the Embassy.

At hand to receive the AIPA Ireland officials were the Embassy's Charge d'Affaires, Mr. Olushola Iginla and his personal assistant, Ms. Jennifer George. On the AIPA Ireland team were Sir. Paul Uzor (Chairman), Mrs. Ifeoma Nwali (Finance), Sir. Patrick Edekobi (Advisory Board) and Sir. Henry Uzo (Advisory Board).

The familirisation visit was an opportunity for the AIPA Officials, not just to introduce the Association and its mission, but also gifted them the opportunity to bring the Embassy up to speed with the giant strides being undertaken by the current government of Anambra State under the leadership of Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike)

Sir. Paul Uzor, used the opportunity to invite the Embassy Officials to the forthcoming AIPA Lecture Series, scheduled for the 24th of September 2016. The event, meant to kick off the Nigeria's Independence celebration for the year, is titled, "Nigeria: Regionalism and the Challenges of National Integration". According to him, this first edition, will be held in honour of Nigeria's first indigenous president, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Benjamin Azikiwe (late); a great son of Anambra State - reflecting on his life and ideals, and the way forward for us as a people.
